INTRODUCTION

Sahan Research and Development Organization (SRDO) is Nongovernmental organization, Non-profit, Non–political, hereafter referred to as organization,
established on January 2002 by Somali Professionals.

The purpose of the organization is an utmost participation of Somali intellectuals on
socio-econosmic development through research and sound planning based on reliable
data information and basic principle of good research and plan.

Actually, in the country there are many NGOs engaged mainly relief activities, but SAHAN is the party of few organizations in Somalia that involved social and economic achievement through research & development in the projects rehabilitation, capacity building, community awareness as well as gearing towards the improvement of living standards of the poor Somali community with a concern for the long-term viability of development program.
