POULTRY FARMING PROJECT
In
Buulo-Mareer Town of the Lower Shabeelle Region) (24 September
– 30 November 2005).
This Project is titled Traditional Poultry Rearing Project –
as income generating Scheme, financed by UNHCR in support of the
former Refugee, returnee, IDPs and Local community in Bullo Mareer
Town in the Qoryoole district of the lower Shabelle Region. The
project focused on job creation and Income Generating Scheme.
the Project consist the construction of few movable poultry houses
The movable chicken shelter has been built in good construction
style. The beneficiaries were hopefully delighted to obtain means
to generate immediate and stable income generating opportunity.
Gender equality and empowerment of women through job creation
has been considered, since among the Poultry beneficiaries comprises
of 15 mothers who are family heads (Widowed & Divorced), who
are the more marginalized groups.
